#YouthMonth: Trace launches young filmmaker competition
Trace has launched a filmmaking competition ahead of Youth Month in June. Gauteng-based creative filmmaker(s) are asked to submit their CV, portfolio and showreel of before 12 May 2019.
The focus should be short stories centred on young creatives that are bubbling under in the scenes of music, art, fashion and culture. Entrants will be narrowed down to five candidates who will need to tell a story of 90 seconds around the designated theme. From the five candidates, one winner will be selected and announced to create a documentary based on their treatment. They will be given a period of 12 months an amount of R50,000 prize money to create the documentary.
The documentary will be broadcast on the Trace channels as well as the Trace Play global platform. To submit your entry or find out more information about the competition, visit https://trace.tv/.
