Roodeberg's 2009 red scores 90+ at 10 Year Old Wine Awards
Roodeberg's 2009 red wine was awarded a 92/100 at the 2019 10 Year Old Wine Awards. Roodeberg is the brainchild of Dr Charles Niehaus, a pioneer of the South African wine industry who led much wine development at KWV in the early '40s.
A record number of 92 entries from 42 producers participated in the competition; all the entries hailed from the 2009 vintage. The awards are held annually under the Winemag.co.za banner to showcase age-worthy South African wines.
