First Dream Big winner
The first dream to come true in the Dream Big SA campaign by O, The Oprah Magazine, SABC 3 and Santam is that of Kim Sangion, a 27-year old from Johannesburg whose dream it is to write and produce music for South African musicians. For starters, Sangion is being enrolled into the Soul Candi Institute for Music for an all-expenses-paid one-year course in production and audio engineering, as well as for a music business course covering entertainment law, marketing, the financial aspects of the music industry and music management. The Dream Big team and Soul Candi have also set-up a year-long paid internship for Sangion as a record label assistant. The cherry on the top is the surprise announcement by Lira, one of Sangion's favourite local artists, that she wants to collaborate on a project with her soon.
