Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi, La Belle Ferronnière to show at Louvre Abu Dhabi
Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi and La Belle Ferronnière will be showcased at the Louvre Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Salvator Mundi is a oil on panel painting, which depicts a half-length figure of Christ as Saviour of the World and is believed to be dated around 1500.
Louvre Abu Dhabi will also open its inaugural special exhibition From One Louvre to Another: Opening a Museum for Everyone on 21 December 2017. The exhibition traces the history of the Musée du Louvre in Paris in the 18th century.
