More green awards for radio presenters

The annual Johannesburg City Parks Environmental Awards last week honoured three Primedia Broadcasting radio presenters. Talk Radio 702's Jenny Crwys-Williams was named 2008's Woman in Greening for being what Jenny Moodley from City Parks called “the tree champion”. Jeremy Mansfield and the rest of the Rude Awakening (RAW) breakfast team from 94.7 Highveld Stereo were given a Chairperson's Award for the outside broadcast they did from the 24-hour park in Orlando East, Soweto. Graeme Joffe, another RAW team member, was acknowledged with a Chairperson's Award for his work on the Township TV social responsibility project which installs big-screen TVs in strategic City Park's locations within townships.
