Boeing-built satellite to further NASA's space communcation
A Boeing-built tracking and data relay satellite (TDRS) will enable further communication for NASA's space communications network with International Space Station (ISS) when the satellite becomes fully operational next year.
The satellite was launched on 18 August 2017 and it will provide high-bandwidth communications to spacecraft in low-Earth orbit.
The newly launched TDRS makes it the sixth satellite Boeing has built for NASA.
