Chef Sharmain Dixon receives 14th President's Award
Chef Sharmain Dixon received the President's Award for 2017; making her the 14th recipient of the award. The South African Chef's Association (SA Chefs) selected Dixon for her contribution to the growth and development of the South African hospitality industry as well as her education and training efforts.
Dixon opened the 1000 Hills Chef School in 2005 and established it as a FET accredited college, offering internationally recognised qualifications in food preparation and culinary arts. Dixon still continues to lecture at other institutions, create training programmes, and consult with hotels and restaurants.
