Sentraal High School wins CUT's High School Quiz Whizz competition
The Central University of Technology's (CUT) faculty of engineering and information technology recently hosted Grey College Secondary School, Sand du Plessis, and Sentraal High Schools in its annual High School Quiz Whizz competition. The competition is aimed at promoting the importance of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) subjects amongst high school learners.
Sentraal High School came first for the fifth time in the 20 years of the competition. The winning team received R45,000 worth of prize money towards study bursaries for 2019; Sand du Plessis received R 10,000 each, while Grey College settled for R7,500 each.
