Africa Cares Tennis Challenge postponed to 2022
Due to travel restrictions to and from South Africa as well as growing concerns about the new Covid-19 variant, Africa Cares Tennis Challenge has been postponed.
A number of internationally renowned tennis players were set to take part in the event taking place in Johannesburg on 18 and 19 December 2021. These included Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Iga Swiatek, Simona Halep, Sloane Stephens, Dustin Brown and Khololwami Montsi. Besides promoting tennis in South Africa, the event was designed as a vehicle to raise awareness about gender-based violence through campaigns and activations leading up to the main event.
The event will now be held in 2022. New dates will be announced in due course.
