    Joint venture to capitalise on increased tourist footprint

    Kagiso Urban Management (KUM) and Blue Planet Media (BPM) earlier this week launched its ‘Welcome to Jozi Pack' - a joint venture initiative aimed at giving local residents and visitors, national and international tourists an ‘all-in-one' comprehensive guide to experiencing the City of Johannesburg's key nodes. Set to be an annual publication, the pack contains essential information about KUM's main city improvement districts (CIDs) and will contain KUM's annual publications and brochures. To be launched mid-May 2009, it will capitalise on the increased tourist footprint to be created by the FIFA Confederations Cup which kicks-off in Johannesburg mid-June. Distribution will be primarily through hotels in KUM's management districts and other key points such as the Sandton Convention Centre, Gauteng Tourism Association and Johannesburg Tourism Company.
