Use Google to drive local business
Yesterday, Wednesday, 28 October 2009, saw the launch of detailed Google maps of many South African cities and towns, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth and East London. These are available through any web browser or via mobile on data enabled handsets. Stephen Newton, country manager for Google South Africa said, “We believe more accurate, representative local information can greatly improve the breadth of information available about a given area and in turn can bolster tourism and business investment.” For more info, go to www.maps.google.com/lbc.
