Winner for cover of Zuma's Bastard
A recent competition to find the best design for the cover of the book Zuma's Bastard by Azad Essa has been won by Saaleha Idrees Bamjee, whose design was described by the judges as "edgy, funky, raw and very smart...the let's-give-them-something-to-talk-about option...more in keeping with the feel of the book...divisive and intriguing, controversial and engaging." Bamjee, from Johannesburg, describes herself as a "freelance word worker/print designer/idea girl who's into writing, rhyming, blogging, paper-crafting, cooking and peak time-traffic-karaoke."
