Gerety Awards extends deadline, says no to Covid-19 related entries
The Gerety Awards has extended its deadline until 29 May and announced that it will not accept Covid-19 related entries.
Gerety founders said: "An online petition called for award shows to place a ban on Covid-related entries, we agree with the sentiment that this is not a cultural moment. It's a humanitarian catastrophe. Therefore, we will not be accepting any Covid-19 related ads this year."
All advertising works (besides Covid-19 related ads) broadcast between January 2019 and the deadline are eligible for entry and the works are judged on two criteria: originality of the idea and its execution.
All types of media can be entered into any of the 10 categories: Media, Innovation, Entertainment, Communication, Craft, Experience, Works for Good, Health, Pharma and Portfolios.
