Africa, a winning nation - 6 Dec 2010

Econet Wireless walked away last week with the much contested Zimbabwe Superbrand Award with Coca-Cola and Spar not trailing too far behind. While the project is currently not affiliated to Superbrands International, a partnership could be on the cards.
Airtel and MISA Malawi also dished out awards last week to a number of journalists in the country in a story writing and presentation competition regarding the MTV Africa Music Awards.
In Kenya Tell-Em Public Relations was awarded the PR Campaign of the Year Award at the 2010 Public Relation's Society of Kenya (PRSK) Awards for its 2010 FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour with Coca-Cola in Kenya campaign. Kenya's National Bureau of Statistics picked up an international award for the 2009 Kenya National Population and Housing Census campaign in the 2010 IPRA Golden World Awards.
