So long to Dr Banda - Mon, 12 Apr 2010Last week Friday saw the passing of one of Africa's most prominent media veterans, Dr Aleke Kadonaphani Banda, who aided in building the foundations of some of the continent's biggest print media houses in Malawi. While also participating actively in the political field, he remained an active component in developing the media industry. At his death Banda was chairman of Nation Publications Limited. He is survived by his wife, children and great grandchildren.
