Marketing & Media Africa

Cheers to all the African Journalist Awards winners!

This weekend saw the 18th CNN MultiChoice Journalist Awards take place at the CTICC in Cape Town. Two South Africans from The Daily Dispatch, Msindisi Fengu and Yandisa Monakali, were named overall CNN MultiChoice African Journalists of the Year. Well done to all the finalists and winners. We commend you for the great work you are doing across the continent!

Gregory Gondwe shares more on Malawi's internet freedom in a Freedom House Report. Among other things, the report elaborates more on the controversial E-Bill that was introduced in October 2012. Criticised for its potential to limit internet freedom, the draft E-Bill would require editors of online public communications services to reveal their personal information and allow the government to appoint "cyber inspectors" to monitor online activity in the public domain. Read the full Freedom House Report (212KB).

Karen de Lorenzo explains the differences between CRM and loyalty for B2C and B2B and shares some tips on what to focus on in B2B loyalty.

Finally, if you missed last week's Biz Takeouts Show, listen to the podcast which is now available.

Cheers!
