Hello AfricaRecently, I decided to venture into the wild for three weeks travelling from Pretoria up to Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia. I must admit it turned out not to be as wild as I had imagined - apart from free roaming wild animals of course. For the first time, I got to experience these countries for myself - building relationships with the local people and getting acquainted with the different cultures represented in these three nations. Africa is a majestic, peaceful place with so much potential. It's a place full of life, love and hope. I look forward to this new journey - taking over from Evan-Lee Courie who has been providing our readers with the latest news and trends in the African marketing, media and advertising industries for almost two years now. I especially look forward to building new relationships with you, our readers, contributors and industry experts in and from greater Africa, and to getting to know this industry - outside of South Africa - much better. Cheers! Ilse van den Berg, Africa Editor (@Biz_Africa)Comment online in our ed's column archive. Go mobile with apps and m.bizcommunity.com. Engage with us on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+.
