Loeries leaves CT intact

The 2010 Loerie Awards has come and gone, leaving the Mother City just about intact. While I didn't venture out to experience all the hoo-ha this year, I imagine it all went along swimmingly. Congratulations to all the winners who walked away with a much sought-after Loerie - those long lonely nights brainstorming in the shower have finally paid off. But, you don't just leave with a trophy, you also leave with a reputation as one of the African industry's finest.

Looking at the award winners' log, I spotted one African winner outside of South Africa - well done DDB Mozambique on being awarded a Campaign Silver Loerie for your efforts on the Mozambique Fashion Week 2010 campaign under the Advertising: Advertising Posters category. DDB Mozambique also ranked second on the Official 2010 Loeries rankings under 'Ranking by countries outside South Africa'.

Cape Town, you may now let your daughters and sons roam free in the streets again; the 'biggest event of the year' is over!
