Anholt, who defined branding as the process of putting a lipstick on a pin, said brand is a toxic word that has taken a strongly negative connotation because everybody knows the perception but nobody knows anything about reality. Corporate social media policy: Are you in or are you out?
[Clive Simpkins] Corporates around the world are facing a profound question right now. It's about whether they put a toe into the social media pool or dive in at the deep end. Both approaches can be disastrous. The crux of the issue though is - there's little option but to engage. It's not a question of 'if' - it's a question of 'when, where and how?' Read more >>

I like that I can cruise MySpace and cackle over how boring old whatserface from school has become, since bearing her 13th bambino. Read more >>

Appeal for funding to help save Africa's rhinos
[Sponsorship] Africa is experiencing a ferocious resurgence in rhino poaching, caused by illegal demand for rhino horn from Asia. South Africa, the stronghold of Africa's rhino population with more than 80% of the 24 000 rhinos left in Africa, has been losing more than 20 rhinos a month.
