Diageo announces new CSI project in Africa
Diageo was recognised yesterday, Thursday, 24 September 2009 by the Clinton Global Initiative for its work in providing poor regions in Africa with access to clean water. At the Clinton Global Initiative, Diageo announced a new project whereby the company will provide funding in West Africa through its Arthur Guinness Fund, which has been created to celebrate Guinness's 250th anniversary. Altech increases stake in KDN

Joint ICT project launched for education in Kenya
NAIROBI: Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, the government of Kenya and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) announced a joint partnership to improve education in Kenya. Launched in collaboration with Kenya's Ministry of Education, the Accelerating 21st Century Education (ACE) project aims to improve the quality of primary and secondary education through the effective use of information and communications technology (ICT).
