Zain invests in Moroccan operator Wana
CASABLANCA: Zain has entered into a 50/50 partnership with Al Ajial Investment Fund Holding (Al Ajial) investing through a joint venture, Zain Al Ajial an amount of MAD2.850 billion (US$324 million) in return for 31% of Wana Corporate SA (Wana), the third mobile telecom operator in Morocco.

South Africa's Justin Hartman will be speaking at the BarCamp being hosted in Lagos, Nigeria. BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences open, participatory workshop events, with content provided by participants. BarCamps Nigeria will take place on Saturday, 25 April, 2009. Hartman is the MD and co-founder of Afrigator - an African social media aggregator and blog directory. BRUSSELS: According to a new report released by the World Bank MENA region, global demographic developments will lead to greater labour and job mobility in the coming decades. The report titled, "Shaping the Future: A Long Term Perspective of People and Job Mobility for the Middle East and North Africa", predicts that by 2050, the declining labour force in some regions could reach a total of 215 million workers while other regions may experience an increase in excess of 500 million.
