Discussion topics will include strategic marketing/consumer insights, communication for business, customer care, import and export duties, business finance, tax advice, loans accounts as well as fraud detection. The Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG) have recently forced Al Jazeera TV to shut down its operations in Mogadishu and ordered the closure of two private radio stations.

How media can change lives

This was demonstrated at the recent 5th World Summit on Media for Children, where a former child soldier from Liberia, now a radio presenter, made an emotional testimony about how the media changed his life.

The Supreme Court of Liberia has overturned the one-year ban on The Independent newspaper, which was imposed by the government after it published an explicit photo of former presidential affairs minister, Willis Knuckles.
