Media accreditation: World Cup 2018, Host announcement 2022ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: FIFA has announced that the accreditation process for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2022 FIFA World Cup Host Announcement is now open exclusively via the FIFA Media Channel (media.fifa.com). The deadline for accreditation applications is 22 October 2010. The host announcement will take place at the Messe Zurich, Switzerland, on 2 December 2010. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail by the beginning of November at the latest. Media-related information for the host announcement, i.e. media accommodation, media facilities and activities will be published in due course on the FIFA Media Channel. It is important to note that for radio and television organisations access to certain broadcast services might be subject to availability and subject to a charge under a separate agreement with FIFA TV. For further information about such additional terms and conditions please contact the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing Team, email: gro.afif@gnicivresretsacdaorbafif. Media representatives who have not already registered for the FIFA Media Channel can do so at media.fifa.com. This password-protected online service is designed to provide media professionals with details on activities, logistic information around FIFA events and any special media announcements. Approval to access the FIFA Media Channel does not mean you have been granted accreditation. The media accreditation process for any FIFA competition or event requires the completion of an accreditation form via the FIFA Media Channel that is specific to the event. All applicants are responsible for their visa if required and must visit, as usual, the Swiss authorities in their country. Some useful information:
