Microsoft launches Windows 7 in Malawi

Microsoft has officially launched Windows 7 in Malawi with country manager for Microsoft East and Southern Africa Louis Otieno touting it as its most well-researched product.

“Eight million people took part in our Windows 7 beta testing programme worldwide, including Windows users from across the African continent,” he said.

Otieno said Windows 7 represents years of in-depth listening to our customers and partners around the globe and is the most well-planned Windows release ever.

The product which is said to be available in seven languages is now available on new computers and at certified Microsoft dealers across Malawi.

A computer technician working for Computer Connections, Joseph Chidwala spoke highly about Windows 7.

“This is more user-friendly that Windows Vista as it responds faster and has enhanced performance compared to the other Windows,” he said.
