Multichoice Malawi introduces new facilitiesMultichoice Malawi, a local digital satellite television service provider, has introduced new facilities, which its sales and marketing officer, Chimwemwe Nyirenda said would make it stand above its competitors in Malawi. The products which were unveiled last Sunday include a new high definition personal video recorder (HD PVR) decoder which Nyirenda promised will provide customers with a more crispy and razor sharp image. “Subscribers will also be able to record up to 300 hours,” said Nyirenda, “With this new decoder, they can also fast forward, pause, rewind and engage into slow motion live television.” The company also unveiled what it called "Xtra View," through which customers will simultaneously view two different channels through two decoders but using the same satellite dish. Nyirenda explained that if someone wants to watch something different from the next person, the subscriber could use the new 1110 HD-PVR decoder to have a master and a slave decoder, which will enable them to watch different channels.
