    African films screened in Yeoville

    YEOVILLE, JOHANNESBURG: Khaya Cinema, a new community initiative to bring African film screenings to Yeoville, Johannesburg in South Africa was recently launched. The films are a mix of South African and pan-African films all based in South Africa reflecting the community of Yeoville making it relevant to audiences that it targets.

    The fourth and final film for April will show on Friday, 30 April, Saturday 1 May and Sunday 2 May. The screening will feature South African Great Movies Production's “True Dream”, directed by John Wani and is the story of John and his sister Jeanette, who are two refugees from the DRC. They have to face life in South Africa after the death of their parents who were killed by gangs for diamond money. John cannot lose his vision to become a millionaire and marry. He goes from car-guard to the achievement of his dream.
