    Loeries Travelling Exhibition visits Botswana

The Loeries Travelling Exhibition, sponsored by Adobe, is taking a detour from its journey around South Africa to make a stop in Gabarone, Botswana from 10 - 14 May 2010, at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Both Adobe and the Loeries will be offering complimentary Adobe workshops at the various destinations around the region.

The Gabarone launch and Adobe CS5 workshop takes place at 4.30pm on 10 May, and is aimed at students, photographers and creative professionals.

    Inspire local talent

“As The Loerie Awards is a regional awards ceremony, it makes sense to bring the exhibition to Botswana, to inspire local talented students and industry professionals to work towards the highest levels of creativity, and to encourage them to enter the awards as well,” says Galefele Molema, the Signal Hill freelance art director who facilitated the exhibition's visit to Botswana.

“As providers of award-winning technology and software that enables creativity, we are very excited with our partnership with The Loerie Awards and their Travelling Exhibition,” says Leonard Rabotapi, marketing manager in Africa at Adobe Systems. “This relationship enables us to help promote and reward creative excellence in the creative industry. We certainly see our partnership growing to offer even more value to the creative community.”

    Gallery-style showcase

The Travelling Exhibition is a gallery-style showcase of the winning works from The 31st Annual Loerie Awards. It is making its way around South Africa and to Botswana, stopping at expos, educational institutions and festivals. After Gabarone, it will move on to the Oliewenhuis Museum in Bloemfontein, SA.
