WAN-IFRA multiblogs set up for world summit
The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) has set up various media platforms in order to provide updates from this week's World Newspaper Congress, World Editors Forum and Info Services Expo in Hyderabad, India, via text, photo, video and podcasts.
An integrated media team from Western Kentucky University is joining WAN-IFRA journalists to help produce the multimedia coverage. The team of 14 students and three faculty members from the School of Journalism and Broadcasting will augment the publications staff of WAN-IFRA.
Using high-tech mobile equipment, the student journalists and their instructors will post multimedia-rich entries on the site at an average rate of one every 10 minutes throughout the four days of presentations and social events, from 30 November to 3 December 2009.
