Standard Bank wins four EMEA Finance's Achievement Awards
The Standard Bank Group has been awarded four awards at EMEA Finance's Achievement Awards 2011, including best syndicated loan house in Africa. These awards recognise the bank's position in the African capital markets, and it is the fifth year in which Standard Bank's role in the region has been recognised.
EMEA Finance also recognised Standard Bank's expertise in the following categories:
- Best supranational bond deal in EMEA: Afreximbank's US$500mn, 5 year Eurobond
- Best sovereign bond deal in Africa: Namibia's US$500mn, 10 year Eurobond
- Best structured finance deal in Africa: Tanzania's road infrastructure projects
