MSCC, platinum sponsor for 2011 African Banker Awards

Organised by African Banker magazine during the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings, the African Banker Awards honours the achievements of African financial institutions and individuals who have contributed significantly to the reform, modernisation and expansion of the continent's banking and financial system.

    Successful indigenous African company

Omar Ben Yedder, publisher of African Banker magazine, commented: "We're delighted to have MSCC on board as our platinum sponsor. They have shown through their extensive investment and business transactions in Africa that they understand how the region operates as a market and their services are playing an important role in building Africa's banking infrastructure. MSCC is the sort of company we love to be associated with, a successful indigenous African company leading in the field of innovation and servicing established and emerging companies across Africa. They are leading the way in many ways and such success is what will drive private sector growth, which our group sees as the backbone of the continent's economic development."

The awards this year will take place at the Willard Intercontinental, Washington DC on 23 September 2011. Financial institutions can still submit entries across a number of categories. Previous winners include Ecobank, Equity Bank, Renaissance Capital, Standard Bank and many financial institutions leading the way in African Banking.
