AltX-listed telecoms equipment manufacturer Africa Cellular Towers on Thursday (27 January 2011) announced changes to its board of directors, including Chris Kruger, founder and previous executive chairman, who has stepped down as executive chairman of the company.
Kruger however, would remain as a non-executive director, "where his knowledge and experience will still be available to the group", ACT said.
Mitesh Patel, former chairman and member of the audit committee and risk committee, resigned as chairman of both committees and member of the audit committee, but will remain a member of the risk committee.
"Mitesh has accepted the appointment as the independent non-executive chairman of the company," the group said.
"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Seth Radebe as an independent non-executive director of the company and member and chairman of the audit committee and risk committee.
"Seth is a qualified chartered accountant and brings with him a wealth of experience where he is the managing director of Rebahale Incorporated, nonexecutive director of Yebo Yeth (an empowerment vehicle for Vodacom SA), member of City of Johannesburg Metro Group Audit Committee, non-executive chairman of Arthur Els Actuarial Consulting and former non-executive director and chairperson of SAFCOL Audit Committee.
"The company wants to express its appreciation to Chris Kruger for his leadership over the past 11 years," said Africa Cellular Towers.
