    Thinking Mobile 2010 early bird special still open

    The Thinking Mobile 2010 Conference and Exhibition early bird special for delegate seats is still available until Wednesday, 30 June 2010. The special allows a 10% discount on bookings for the event to be held 16-18 September at the Misty Hills Country Hotel Conference Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

    The event's speakers will cover general, as well as industry specific mobile marketing topics in both plenary sessions and workshops. Carmen Cupido, regulatory and government relations manager at Broadband Infraco, will present on the new POPI Bill. The Bill is expected to become law as early as next month and is set to change the way companies communicate with their databases. Offenders can expect fines and up to ten years imprisonment.

    • Gavin Rooke - MD, Trigger; and
    • Sean Pashley - CCO international operations, Starfish Mobile.

    The conference is chaired by WASPA VC and Grapevine MD Neil Hutchinson.

    In addition to the conference and workshops, delegates will also have the opportunity to attend a two-day free and open-to-the public exhibition that will feature new B2C mobile products and services. A cocktail function and gala dinner will follow the conference and exhibition.
