Bharti encounters African resistance to Zain purchase

A number of African governments could delay plans by Bharti Airtel to celebrate its US$10,7bn purchase of the African mobile phone assets of Zain after having either conditionally approved the telecoms sale or ordered a review of the transaction, it was reported on Friday (21 May 2010).
