MTN Business appoints GM for African expansion

JOHANNESBURG: MTN Business, the wholly-owned division of MTN SA, has announced the recent appointment of Johnny Aucamp to general manager for strategic relations and business development in Africa.
MTN Business appoints GM for African expansion

Says Angela Gahagan, executive at MTN Business; "This appointment reiterates my commitment to offer corporations all over the African continent and other emerging markets our '360 degree' service offering - an approach that is designed to offer client's peace of mind in their communication needs, pinned on reliability and availability."

Says Aucamp; "I am thrilled to be apart of the MTN Business team. My role will be to liaise with all the various MTN offices in Africa and drive our standardised service delivery vision, enabling customers to interact with one company - MTN Business - for all their ICT needs."

MTN Business's African strategy is to enable a standardised approach to services and solutions delivery, enabling customers to reach their business potential and maximise growth opportunities across all relevant borders.

Adds Aucamp; "This is achieved by providing universal service level agreements (SLA's) across the continent and providing a common interface to a support infrastructure via one company - MTN Business. With a footprint in 21 counties including 16 in Africa, through our parent company, we are able to deliver services across a number of countries within realistic timeframes, considering the local market conditions are understood and the building blocks of doing business have successfully been undertaken."

Continues Aucamp; "Certainly Africa is rife with its own set of challenges - but without them business cannot grow. However, I believe with a customer-centric strategy that incorporates locally-operated companies together with our own delivery capabilities and footprint; we can succeed. I want businesses to view MTN Business as a partner of choice in Africa no matter what the ICT requirement and know that we can and will deliver the most superior service available."

Concludes Gahagan, "I am confident that our extensive regulatory knowledge, world-class network, specialist skills - and now dedicated GM resource - will drive a successful African expansion model for MTN Business and enable our customers to infiltrate and flourish across a burgeoning continent."
