    Central Africa Kalahari Awards open for nominations

    The Central Africa Kalahari Awards, which is dedicated to acknowledging creativity, commitment and excellence in the mobile financial services across Africa, are now open for nominations and will take place during MobileMoney Expo - Central Africa in Cameroon from 25-26 September 2014.
    Central Africa Kalahari Awards open for nominations

    According to a report on MobileMoney Africa, the Kalahari Awards are given to organisations that have made a significant contribution to the mobile financial sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future.

    The awards will be decided by an independent panel of expert judges based on a number of criteria including: Geographic market penetration, on-going and evidence of commercial campaigns, regulatory compliance where necessary, cross sector partnerships, active deployments and future potentials for further growth.

    Honouring best of breed

    The Kalahari Awards honour best of the breed across all sectors and segments of mobile financial services covering mobile network operators, financial institutions, independent providers, systems and application providers, regulators, international development agencies, micro finance organisations and individuals in the mobile financial ecosystem in Africa and beyond.

    The judging takes place in September 2014 and winners will be announced at the MobileMoney Expo - Central Africa in September 2014 in Cameroon. Once your entry is received, your company profile will be eligible to be featured as the 'provider of the week'. As a featured organisation, you can expect a special placement and a featured review article written by the MobileMoney team and published in the awards sections of MobileMoneyAfrica.com newsletter.

    Eligibility

    Award entry is open to all stakeholders in the mobile financial ecosystem in Central Africa with at least one active deployment or on-going partnerships in the region. It is open to financial institutions, micro finance entities, mobile network operators, independent firms, card processors, international remittance firms, mobile device, pos device manufacturers and others.

    Entry and deadlines

    Entries are free and can be submitted directly by the organisation or partners. All entries must be received by 6pm (GMT), Friday, 5 September 2014. All qualified entries will receive the Kalahari shortlist banner for website, internal and external media visibilities.
