Patricia Hidalgo has been appointed by Turner International as Senior Vice President and Chief Content & Creative Officer Kids for Turner Broadcasting System EMEA effective 1 July 2013.
    Patricia Hidalgo joins Turner Broadcasting

The announcement was recently made by Peter Flamman, SVP & COO, EMEA and MD Kids EMEA.

Most recently vice president of content and programming strategy for The Walt Disney Company EMEA, Hidalgo will be Turner's editorial head for its strong portfolio of kids content and channel brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa. She will oversee all centrally-funded programming (acquisitions, co-productions, originals); channel branding; franchise and research initiatives; and editorial compliance across multiple platforms and formats.

"We are delighted that Patricia is joining us and look forward to the leadership and wealth of creative experience she will bring to a role that sits at the very heart of our kids business," said Flamman, to whom Hidalgo will report.

He continued so say "We are particularly impressed by her superb track record of collaborating with diverse local market teams within a global, franchise-led, content-centric organisation. That fits perfectly with Turner's philosophy going forward and will allow us to capitalise upon our strong original content slate including new seasons of Adventure Time and Regular Show from our US studios and Gumball and Lazy Town from EMEA."

"I am delighted to join Turner at what I believe is a very exciting time for the company," said Hidalgo. "I am looking forward to working with what I know to be very talented and creative people in the kids TV industry and continue to bring fun and smiles to kids wherever they are, for this is what we all do best!"
