    CNBC Africa to screen 'Meeting of the Minds' debate

    CNBC Africa, the continent's business and financial news television channel, will broadcast the second annual debate series titled "Meeting of the Minds - South Africa: Reality Check?". The show is styled on the global award-winning CNBC International series "Meeting of the Minds".

    Each episode consists of an interactive, high-level debate featuring Africa's top business and thought leaders.

    "Meeting of the Minds - South Africa: Reality Check" seeks to provide an authoritative guide into the country's economic policy environment, including its impact on both business and society. Viewers will have the opportunity to experience a confluence of high production values as well as engaging high-level commentary and debate.

    Hosted by CNBC Africa senior anchor, Bronwyn Nielsen the event will be attended by leaders from across the political and ideological spectrum, including captains of industry and key business players.

    The panellists driving the discussion include:

  • Helen Zille, premier of the Western Cape
  • Dr Mamphela Ramphele, founder of Agang
  • Jayendra Naidoo, member of the Executive Committee of BLSA
  • Richard Pike, CEO, Adcorp

    The debate will be recorded in front of a live audience at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and will be broadcast on CNBC Africa, DStv Channel 410, on Monday, 6 May at 9pm CAT.
