New GM for Fox International Channels Africa
Tucci will relocate to Johannesburg, as part of the group's strategy to continue expansion in as much of Sub-Saharan Africa as possible. This follows the successful performance of FIC in other countries including UK, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Japan and Germany.
Thorp says, "FIC currently runs five Fox and National Geographic channels in sub-Saharan Africa. In his new role, Tucci will be responsible for driving the distribution of those services throughout the region on multiple platforms, whilst developing the brands and heading our drive into localised content. He will also manage our long term strategy for the region, as we move towards localising brands territory by territory.
Diego Londono, president of Fox Channels Italy and Fox Channels Germany, adds, "Tucci has been a key member of the senior management team at FIC Italy since start-up and has played a significant role in the growth and development of the businesses in both Italy and Germany.
"In addition to his role as SVP of finance of Italy and Germany, he has been responsible for advertising sales, Fox networks, digital/online publishing, research and business development and ensured that FIC Italy was in the forefront in each of these areas. He was instrumental in the launch of several channels throughout Europe and played a key role in the successful reorganisation of FIC-France in 2008. His business acumen and strategic approach has been an invaluable asset to FIC.
