Representatives from government, regulators and African broadcasters will meet late this month at the Africa Media and Broadcasting Congress 2010 to discuss the changing dynamics of traditional broadcasting. The congress will take place from the 29 November - 3 December 2010 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

"There is great opportunity in a variety of broadcast models in Africa such as internet and mobile-TV," says Anthea Coltman, conference manager for Terrapinn, organiser of the annual Media and Broadcasting Congress.
Industry-leading speakers
Industry experts including Lara Kantor, group executive: regulatory strategy for eTV, as well as Solomon Mugera, head: BBC Swahili Service for BBC, UK will be presenting at the congress. Kantor will be participating in a panel session focusing on broadcasting models that work for Africa, while Mugera will present a case study focusing on an international perspective on ensuring success and how Africa can use the same business models to profit.
The Africa Media and Broadcasting Congress 2010 will also feature a dedicated day called Planet of the APPS, which will explore the platforms on which mobile media opportunities can be found. This event aims to provide valuable insight for mobile advertisers and content producers.
