Canal + International rolls out first original series in Africa
Co-produced by Canal + International and Tsk Studios, Invisibles is a large-scale production, also supported by the Fonds Image de la Francophonie (OIF) and support from the French Media Development Agency (CFI).
Directed and created by Alex Ogou, Ivorian actor, scriptwriter, director of production and director, the series Invisibles recalls the initiatory journey of Chaka and his big sister Hadjara who overnight decide to leave their indebted parents.
The series plunges the viewer into a society thriller where delinquent children organise themselves in an ultraviolet band to survive. Invisibles puts into perspective a social phenomenon on a world scale around a disoriented youth who fight for a better life.
An ambitious series by its theme and its large-scale 100% African production, Invisibles marks the launch of Canal + Original, a label designating innovative and audacious fiction, produced and interpreted by the great African talents of tomorrow.
Invisibles has already been acclaimed by critics by winning the Best French Foreign Fiction Prize at the 20th La Rochelle Fiction Festival last September. Through Invisibles, Canal + International is proud to accompany and participate in the revelation of all the African talents.
