Radio – gateway to Africa
Radio, because it has been around so long, is sometimes virtually ignored when it comes to discussions about opening up communications in Africa.
However, this technology must never be underestimated in its potential to inform, advise and educate; few other media match it for cost-effectiveness and reach. And what’s more… it is not an alien technology to the vast masses in urban and rural Africa. They are already familiar with radios, and they are eager listeners.
