Brand Africa Project launched in London
Art at Mio Dino, an exhibition of 53 works of art to represent all the countries of Africa, will take place at Mio Dino's London showroom in Clerkenwell, London. It is part of a series of events scheduled for 2009.
“Never before has a project brought together all the countries of Africa under one vision. The force of Africans living and working outside Africa alone is 165 million strong and there are nearly a billion Africans to count. Brand Africa has the potential to be one of the biggest communities of its time. '53 works of Art at Mio Dino' is an exciting beginning for a style of communication to promote Africa and the global African market,” said Brand Africa founder Audra Wilson-Max.
Ray Atkinson, chairman of Mio Dino UK, said: “We are delighted to partner with Brand Africa. The collaboration is the first of its kind on both sides; Mio Dino is a keen supporter of innovation and creating new opportunity, so this event was a natural fit for us.”
African diplomats will attend the event, as well as senior executives from companies with an interest in the opportunities in Africa and with the global African market.
The Brand Africa Project is a ‘whole of Africa' initiative working from outside Africa. It drives a programme of activity that aims to connect commercial and social enterprise to bring the integration of Africa within the global commercial arena.
