Africa's emerging democracies fail to combat corruption: Report
The emerging new democracies, in most African countries, failed to live up to the expectation in a combat against corruption, according to a new report which advocates the need for strategies reform.
The report presented during a four-day forum organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in conjunction with the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) said there is pervasiveness of corruptions in the new democracies that have introduced a measure of democratic and market reforms over the period of a decade.
