Ice Prince wins 'Best African Act' at the BET Awards 2013
Nigeria's Ice Prince emerged as this year's Best African Act at the 2013 BET Awards. The rapper was awarded the prize at at the BET Broadcast Centre a few hours before the awards kicked off at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California, US.
Ice Prince beat Nigeria's Tuface Idibia, South Africa's Toya Delazy, South Africa's Donald, Ghana's R2Bees and Uganda's Radio and Weasel to emerge as this year's winner.
Born Panshak Zamani he is signed to Nigerian music label group, Chocolate City. He became popular on the continent after the launch of his hit single, "Oleku" which propelled him into the limelight from Lagos to Accra.
