The roadshow will focus on the wide range of critical security and management aspects companies need to consider when allowing employees to use their own iPhone, Androids, iPads, and other gadgets instead of company-owned and supplied devices.

The roadshow brings to the forefront these pertinent issues as well as such topics as what is BYOD, adopting BYOD, BYOD from a strategic perspective, how to implement BYOD and BYOD vendor solutions. These topics will be addressed by Global Knowledge's EMEA and Emerging Markets product manager, Bahaa Salem and MEA Networking product manager, Adel Karim, while BYOD technical insights will be shared by Global Knowledge's Middle East and Africa security program manager, Ronald Ramzy. Each topic will be introduced in sessions lasting throughout the day.

Designed for CIOs, IT managers, systems engineers, network engineers, and IT security engineers, the roadshow will enable managers and engineers alike to gain valuable insight into how to adopt and implement a well rounded company wide BYOD strategy as well as examining best of breed BYOD vendor solutions in the market and any technical issues to consider.

Commenting on the announcement, Hesham Abdel Mohsen, regional marketing manager, Middle East, Africa and Emerging Markets, said, ""We're looking forward to embarking on the upcoming BYOD: A Blessing or a Curse? roadshow, the latest in our innovative series of free roadshows hosted throughout the region. Bringing your own device, whether a phone, iPad or other gadget is gaining increasing popularity in the workplace and thus becoming a prevalent IT, security and management issue. Our roadshow aims to give attendees significant insight into how to implement a company wide strategy and become a BYOD workplace."

The four city regional roadshow is slated to kick off at the Marriott Hotel on 17 February in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the next event at Doha's the Torch Hotel on 24 February then at Dubai's Atlantis the Palm Hotel on 25 February. The last stop of the roadshow will be in Cairo on 27 February at the Intercontinental City Stars.

Global Knowledge's innovative roadshow series is expected to help senior managers and network engineers enable their companies to reach higher performance levels by gaining greater insight into some of the most critical IT issues of the day.
