Judges announced for the 2013 AABLA Southern African region
Following the inaugural regional awards last year, ABN Productions has finalised the panel of judges for 2013 that will ultimately be selecting the winners in each of the five categories.
Judges
The panel of judges include:
- Yunus Suleman, Chairman, KPMG Africa
- Godfrey Mutizwa, chief editor, CNBC Africa
- Dr Lyal White, head of The Centre for Dynamic Markets, Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS)
- Lumkile Mondi, chief economist at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)
- Nombulelo Moholi, CEO, Telkom SA Limited
"I am excited by the success of last year's awards program and with this year's esteemed diverse group of judges we can look forward to a significant increase in nominations in 2013," said Yunus Suleman, chairman of the distinguished panel.
The first awards ceremony will kick off in Lagos, Nigeria in July and will be followed by Kigali, Rwanda in August and Durban, KwaZulu Natal in September. Winners from the regional events will then proceed through as finalists for the AABLA finale which will be held in November this year.

- Young Business Leader of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
The call for nominations is currently open and applicants can complete an online nomination form which can be found on the AABLA 2013 website.
