    More speakers confirmed for ITNews Africa Innovation Dinner

    The forthcoming Innovation Dinner, hosted by ITNews Africa in partnership with MTN and NetApp, scheduled for Tuesday, 31 July 2012, at the Michelangelo Hotel and Towers, Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa, will offer several speakers a credible platform to discuss the direction of the continent in terms of Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology.
    More speakers confirmed for ITNews Africa Innovation Dinner

    Special guest and keynote speaker, Nelson Chamisa, the Honourable (MDC) Minister of Communication and Technology, Zimbabwe, will address delegates about the growth of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country, investment opportunities, government plans for ICT infrastructure and regulation.

    The evening will include a Q & A session with the minister, an exclusive opportunity to learn more about how the country is positioned to take advantage of next-generation infrastructure and how LTE is making a difference to the country's growing profile as a popular destination for investment.

    Additionally, it has been confirmed that Dr. Stephen Sipho Mncube, chairperson of The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), will also be in attendance.

    Dr. Mncube will discuss the body's position with regards to regulatory and spectrum allocation issues.

    Minister Chamisa will also join several other speakers in a discussion about the broad adoption & commercialisation of LTE technology - covering subjects such as spectrum, device profiles, network deployment, applications, and business models.

  • Aingharan Kanagaratnam, head of Practice: Mobile Broadband for Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa
