Winners of AfricaCom Awards 2011
Winners of the AfricaCom Awards 2011, which acknowledges the growth and importance of the telecoms and digital sectors across the African continent, were announced on Wednesday 9 November 2011 at an awards ceremony which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa.

These awards are a serious recognition of the commitment and professionalism of these entrants to their core business and to changing the landscape of the continent, for the better.
The winners are:
- Prize - Horticultural Remote Irrigation System
- AgaSha Business Network
- Kachile
Informa Media & Telecoms, organisers of the AfricaCom Awards and AfricaCom Congress 2011, hailed the winners of this year's leaders in the ICT, Media and Telecoms industry from the African continent.
"The quality and number of entries in this year's awards has been exceptional" commented Emily Martyr, conference manager, Informa Telecoms & Media. "It has been difficult judging the submissions in 2011 as the continent has evolved to such an extent that the competition is fierce."
