CBC-African Business Awards call for entries
The aim of the awards is to recognise business leaders and companies that have excelled in Africa over the last year. The winners will have made an outstanding contribution to the development of the continent, the economic aspirations of its citizens and the transformation of Africa's image in international markets.
Submissions are invited from companies based in Africa, including corporate headquarters or branch offices of international companies. Submissions for multiple awards is permitted. The categories have been selected to cover fields which are important to both the business community and their stakeholders.
CBC-African Business Awards categories:
- African Business of the Year
- Business Leader of the Year
- Outstanding Businesswoman of the Year
- Best Global Business
- Airline of the Year
- Telecoms Company of the Year
- Award for Good Corporate Governance
- Award for Best Corporate Citizenship
The event will host business and industry representatives, entrepreneurs, government officials and diplomats from Africa, Asia, Europe and the USA who will gather to honour the achievements of the business community in Africa.
The awards have previously been presented by; President Kagame, Republic of Rwanda; Ephraim Inoni, prime minister of Cameroon; Bethuel Mosisili, prime minister of Lesotho; Senator Daggash, Nigeria's minister of national planning and Neville Isdal, chairman of Coca-Cola.
