Mobile 360 Africa releases speakers, topics

Confirmed speakers include Jon Fredrik Baksaas, President and CEO, Telenor Group and Chairman, GSMA; Sifiso Dabengwa, Executive Director: Group President and Chief Executive Officer, MTN Group; and Vanu Bose, CEO, Vanu Ltd.
A variety of topics will be covered at Mobile 360 - Africa, including but not limited to evolution of telco and financial policy; mobile service availability, affordability and relevance; getting mobile and financial services into the hands of underserved groups; local content and service ecosystem development; encouragement of digital entrepreneurship and innovative new services; and support for digital start-ups
Furthering the conference programme, the event will serve as an extension of established GSMA programmes that focus on Connected Women, Capacity Building, Mobile for Development (M4D), and Mobile Money for the Unbanked (MMU). Each of these co-located programmes will offer more insight into the key topics of discussion in this region.
New to the event is Jumpstart @ Mobile 360 - Africa. Activities ranging from a keynote session to a start-up pitch platform and networking event will provide a unique opportunity to convene the mobile industry with entrepreneurs and start-ups across sub-Saharan Africa. The Call for Pitch Submissions is now open to all start-ups interested in pitching at this new event offering.
